  • How long has the program been in business
    The program opened in August, 1992 and has operated continually since that time
  • What are your days and hours of operation?
    Monday through Friday, from 6:30am until 6:30 pm.
  • How many children are you licensed to serve?
    We are licensed to care for 139 children.
  • What is the caregiver-to-child ratio?
    Appropriate group sizes and ratios of teaching staff to children are maintained (for example, infants—no more than 8 children in a group, with 2 teaching staff; toddlers—no more than 12 children in a group, with 2 teaching staff; 3-year-olds group size 15 with two teaching staff and 4-year-olds—no more than 18 children in a group, with 2 teaching staff, school age children 5-12 year-olds—no more than 20 children in a group, with 2 teaching staff.
  • What qualifications and experience does the Program Administrator have?
    Program Administrator has 29 years ECE experience and Master’s Degree in ECE (2014)
  • What are the qualifications and experience of the caregivers/teachers?
    - High School Diploma/18 years of age/Clear Criminal Background Check/24 Hr. Pre-Service - Entry Level Teachers require some experience or work with mentor first 90 days - Prefer: CDA Credential/Associate Degree (ECE) for all teachers - All teachers must obtain the CDA Credential within the 2nd year of employment
  • What days is the Center closed for holidays?
    Holidays include: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday following, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
  • What is the policy regarding sick children?
    We cannot care for children who are not able to participate comfortably in the center’s normal activities or have an illness that requires more care than staff can provide without compromising the health, safety and supervision of the other children. Children must be excluded from the program if one or more of the following exists: The child has one of the following, unless medical evaluation by a health-care professional indicates that you can include the child in the child-care center’s activities: Armpit temperature of above 100 degrees and accompanied by behavior changes or other signs or symptoms of illness; or Symptoms and signs of possible severe illness such as lethargy, abnormal breathing, uncontrolled diarrhea, two or more vomiting episodes in 24 hours, rash with fever, mouth sores with drooling, behavior changes, or other signs that the child may be severely ill; or A health-care professional has diagnosed the child with a communicable disease, and the child does not have medical documentation to indicate that the child is no longer contagious. If a child becomes ill while at the center, the child will be allowed to rest on a cot or bed away from the other children. Parents will be called to pick up the child and should arrive within one hour of the call. The center reserves the right to require a physician’s statement prior to re-admittance following an illness.
